I like it

The music is not too abrasive and flows nicely. It can get a little repetitive through the song but that's ok. The general tune you have going here is really nice. I like the way it flows into my ears....hard to explain. There's nothing unsmooth about it in other words. 8/10 sound good to you? I voted 5 too btw. I'm gonna check out your other stuff. Cheers.

Song of the Week

I was checking out the Front page at the Audio Portal and saw this as one of the Songs of the Week. So I came to check it out.

I've never heard the Kirby Super Star song before...I've only played maybe one or two Kirby games. (Kirby Golf or some shit lol)

The song seems Ok as a first time listen of the song. I wish I could hear the original version for a frame of reference of how well you did. Anyway, anytime anyone does a video game re-do I'm always excited for. The song itself seems well done and cheery so I'll give you a nice solid 8.

This song to me is about a 9 right now. I'm not sure what you could have done to bust this into a 10 for me but it's pretty damn nice I have to say. This song sounds a little grim. I like it. If this were in a movie I wonder where they would stick it in. Anyone, nice track. It's a bit short but I like it.

It does sound like that though when you put it the way you did...although I don't know if that would have came to mind otherwise. Sounds great none-the-less!

I'll admit, when I first started the song, I didn't really know how a story would flow with it. I sent an early version of it to Josh and he said it reminded him of a King that had just lost a war and he was standing out in a thunderstorm looking at his destroyed city with his head down in regret wishing things would have gone another way.
Josh's idea is what gave me the inspiration to finish the song the way I did. If it was Josh's story, it would start with the king looking at his destroyed city with the dead or dying inhabitants all around...then it would shift to the past and then the past plays through all the way back up to the present again. The present would have started again at around 2:37 in the song. Give it another listen and see if it all makes even more sense now : ) .
