You have pretty good vocals. I liked your author comment....I'm in a weird mood today and for some reason made me want to review because of it.
Great tune. I'll be sure to 5 it on the way out!

"LOL"

I'm not from the Review Request club but this song 0\/\/ |\| Z.

We're the most bastard things on this planet. Not many things on this planet fight their own species to the death. Most animals stop at a certain point. At the end of the day we're just animals that call ourselves humans to distinguish ourselves from something as lowly as "animals".

Anyway, it's a great tune with a lot of emotion and heart in it. You did a bang up job. If I ever destroy the planet I'll be sure to leave you alive so long as you know how to play a Piano, Saxophone and or a Violin to play this song in the aftermath. 10+5 Have a great day

No Love For Spartacus

"*Butt Head laugh* You said...Pianist."

date: April 28, 2008

There's this interesting quality to this song. It reminds me of this video I watched on Youtube that had a similar sound scheme this song had. I can't quite come in with an empty heart to listen to this but it's mad interesting. There's a huge amount of DISCORD in the song. As I remember what you said in your author comment maybe that's what you were going for in the first place?

Anyway, nice job. Sounds great. Poor Sparticus he will have my blessings!

April 28, 2008

Author's Response:

Hey, thanks for listening and dropping a review.
The reason for the discord was because i probably would've made two different mixes to this. I just wanted to two one, and i had these two pieces i could let go. So, in true IDM fashion, i smashed them together. hah. I thought it'd had an interesting quality to it - The in's and out's of love.
I know alot of hip-hop guys have remixed this song, or just other jazz players in a more up beat fashion. I wanted to..do both? Upbeat, and the original sad quality the original song actually had. I may just make two loops for this song. I've been thinking about that too. But, ah, alright, enough typing from me, this is getting long.

Thank you for the score! Poor Spartacus would be happy to hear that im sure. Ah-heh-hah.

Wow. this is abnormally calm and could make me fall into a blissful sleep any second now kind of track? I swear I could go to sleep listening to this and fall asleep much faster (in the best possible way not the bad kind lol!!)

I totally love you in a non-gay way. Here's a 10 and a 5 you did good, laddy!

"Mellow"

date: April 28, 2008

Very laid back mellow song. Although, I didn't quite agree with your ending...the keyboard (?) kinda bashed the effect a little bit. Still sounded great though. Sometimes simplicity goes a long way.

Anyways, nice work, man!

I like that ethnic spicey flare you have going in this tune. It adds a nice smell to the song. Good jobbbbbbb

I'm glad you recorded these on real instruments. It breaks the grind of things played on keyboards (which aren't bad but it breaks the grind!) Nice work, me lad. You'll make a fine suitor for the Princess of Bulgaria.

April 28, 2008

Author's Response:

most of my stuff here have at least one instrument recorded for real
also when i play piano parts i don't quantise (at least not everything) and for rhythm i use mostly loops made by real drummers, to give a more "lively" feeling.
thanx for review
(as for the Princess of Bulgaria ... well, right now i have a Goddess form Lithuania ... so ...)

Blue Lobster [TheLobsterman]

"Oh boy LOL"

date: April 28, 2008

Maaaaaaaaaan. I was enjoying the song and then at 1:30 or so you squeeked! It brought me INSTANT cringes from my Highschool days when I would be playing my Alto Sax in front of the class and BAM squeek when you're not expecting it. Painful...memories....resurfacing...m ust......bottle it down....deep. hehe.

It's pretty good though. I'm sitting here enjoying it. I love Jazz...it's been so long since I've heard some. Many bows from me. You did a great job overall. Ok...after I give you this 8 I'm gonna go into my closet and repress some memories. Oh. and a 5 too :D

"Pretty good"

date: April 28, 2008

Pretty good song. A little erratic at times which subtracted some value to it for me but over all it's a pretty fun piece. I bet you had a lot of fun poking around with all the different things in this one.

Ok. It's about an 8 to me and I'll give you a 5 too :D. This is at the top 50 or whatever at the moment on the Classical Rock section and I'll do my best to keep you there :D. Anyway, peace!

April 28, 2008

Author's Response:

OMG it's in the top 50 in classical rock? dayum. I haven't checked in on that in a long time. and you're gonna make sure it stays there? thanks a lot, man!

and I did have a lot of fun composing this piece. and i was very experimental at the time so that's why it sounds a little erratic.
